“O, God, You are the one true God. Truth is in Your nature. There is no falsehood in You. We know this and love You for it.
There are those who preach a false god and a false Jesus. This false god is really nothing more than money and greed which leads these false teachers to take Your holy name in vain and to use the word “gospel” as a scheme to make money. God, you know the end from the beginning, though, and none of this has surprised You. I do not know, at this point, why they continue to teach falsely and deceive people whose only concern about You is to receive benefits.
Please, Lord, through the power of the Holy Spirit, convict these false teachers of the Word-Faith or Seed-Faith or the Health and Wealth movement and others out there of their sin and their duplicity. Convict them for leading people astray from the possibility of a real relationship with You through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.
Please, Lord, cause them to fail and cause them to stumble so that their lies may be exposed for what they are, in the same way as many others have stumbled before.
For us, Lord, as teachers, apologists, and leaders in your churches, help us to rightly teach Your Word, so that we can help our people know what they believe and why they believe it. Help us to help them avoid the lies and embrace the Truth.
