So far, we’ve seen that the issue of death before Adam’s sin is a vexing issue among Christians. Well-meaning Christians have taken sides on the issue. Some have generated heat rather than light.
However, there is light that can help us move to a resolution of this issue.
I believe dual revelation will help us answer the question of death before Adam’s fall.
Christians can answer three major questions about the nature of death before and after the Fall of man by using evidence from both special and general revelation.
1. What does special and general revelation tell us about the world and death before the fall?
2. What happened at the fall?
3. Finally, is there a solution?
There is a lot to this dilemma, but, working through all these issues with respect for God’s revelations can bring us understanding.
