IMPORTANT MINISTRY ANNOUNCEMENT

2022 #8

If we’re honest, we have to admit that evil things have been done in the name of Christianity. Skeptics have used this fact to raise doubt about the truthfulness of the Christian faith. The Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the Salem Witch Trials, and other conflicts have been cited by those who want to say that Christianity is violent and should be condemned. Is this charge valid? Are the “crimes” of Christians in history exaggerated? Dr. Bruce Hennigan will discuss this charge and offer some answers when the Shreveport Chapter of Reasons To Believe gathers to discuss, “What About Killing in the Name of God?” It is part of our continuing series Christianity Cross-Examined from the book by Dr. Kenneth Samples. The chapter gathering will take place on August 9 at Shreveport’s Brookwood Baptist Church at 6:30 pm. The discussion promises to be an exciting one and if you are in the area, we cordially invite you to attend.
