The second thing we can see in this conversation is that Jesus gave the right prescription.
Let’s continue with the passage, Luke 18: 20-22.
Jesus continues,
o “You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not bear false witness; honor your father and mother.’ ‘I have kept all these from my youth,’ he said” (Luke 18:20-22, HCSB).
Human doctors prescribe a course of treatment to take care of the causes of a problem. At times, several types of treatment are needed. As anyone who watched the television series House can attest, House and his team of doctors almost kill or cause serious damage to a patient in the first half of the program before curing the patient before the last commercial.
But, that’s on television.
