Gideon: A Biographical Study (Part 14)

A Warrior

What can we learn from Gideon?

This gives us another lesson from the account of Gideon.

That lesson is that God will equip the one that He calls. God may not call us to fight a military battle and win a victory against what we might call impossible odds. He has called us to follow Him and to be His disciples. God has also promised to be with us and give the tools we need to accomplish this task.

The writer of Hebrews closes his book with this,

o “Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus—the great Shepherd of the sheep—with the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to Him forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:20-21, HCSB).

Has God called you to do something?

If so, then He will give you what is needed to accomplish the task, just like He did with Gideon.
