A Warrior

Gideon and his men pursued the fleeing Midianites. With the help of the Ephraimites, they cut off the retreating enemy.

The kings of Midian, however, continued to run. But Gideon caught up with them and killed them, making the defeat final.

Gideon took, according to verse 21, the ornaments from the camels of the two kings as spoils. This would figure into Gideon’s actions later.
