On Tuesday, the Executive Committee did vote to follow the expressed will of the Convention messengers and waive attorney-client privilege, thus enabling the investigation in to sex abuse claims to go forward. A task force to do this was appointed this year by newly elected Convention president Ed Litton and now it appears that they can proceed. This has been a very trying time for the SBC and many of us are praying that victims will be comforted and justice will prevail.
