My Summer Reading List 2025

In addition to my regular Bible reading and study materials, this is what I am reading right now.

The Hiddenness of God, Michael C. Rea. Does the “hiddenness” of God pose an insurmountable problem for belief in God? A philosophy professor explores the hiddenness argument and the problems it presents and the challenges to its assertions.

Jesus and Divine Christology, Brant Pitre. Was a high Christology an invention of the later church councils? This scholar makes the case that Jesus considered Himself divine. Jesus’s words and deeds in both the Synoptic Gospels and John assert His divinity.

Lincoln’s Lieutenants: The High Command of the Army of the Potomac, Stephen Sears. Throughout the Civil War, the Army of the Potomac was the central field army of the Union. Sears studies the generals and the officers who led this organization from the beginning of the war to ultimate victory.

Do you have a regular plan for reading your Bible? Do you read other materials regularly? If so, what are you reading? Leave a comment.
