My Winter Reading List 2025

In addition to my regular Bible reading and study materials, this is what I am reading right now.

The Hiddenness of God, Michael C. Rea. Does the “hiddenness” of God pose an insurmountable problem for belief in God? A philosophy professor explores the hiddenness argument and the problems it presents and the challenges to its assertions.

Jesus, Contradicted: Why the Gospels Tell the Same Story Differently, Michael R. Licona. A New Testament scholar shows how the Gospel accounts function as biographies and how their authors used the common compositional devices of the time.

Tried By War: Abraham Lincoln as Commander in Chief, James McPherson. The preeminent Civil War historian examines how Lincoln literally invented the position of Commander in Chief of the armed forces of the United States during wartime.

Do you have a regular plan for reading your Bible? Do you read other materials regularly? If so, what are you reading? Leave a comment.
